We were contacted by Josey and Andy, who were considering changing their gas boiler to a Sunamp. They explained they had already carried out research on Sunamps and had a good understanding of how they worked. However, they had only seen photos of the system on the internet and were interested to learn more about the options available to them and the what, where and how a new system would work in their property. There were already solar panels on their property, but they were passionate about switching from fossil fuels on a more impactful level. You can imagine how happy this made us.
They had a number of questions, which, in our opinion, deserved a face-to-face meeting; we pride ourselves on the personal touch and being more than just a voice on the other end of a phone. We also loved their passion for renewable energy, so we couldn’t wait to meet them.
An appointment was made for Josey and Andy to visit our showroom in Witchford, Ely, to allow them to see the system in action and make an informed decision as to whether it was the right way forward for them. This is something we always encourage our customers to do so they can see what will be installed in their home. Transparency is key when making a decision of this kind, and building honest and mutually respectful relationships is at the heart of everything we do.
Josey and Andy were delighted to meet the team and discuss their project in more detail. We gave them a demonstration of the Sunamp system, and they were reassured the system was right for their family home. An order was immediately placed for the Sunamp Thermino 210 system. As the homeowners have a solar photovoltaic system installed already, they opted for the ePlus model, meaning when their PV panels are producing more electricity than they can use, their Sunamp can be charged and utilise this excess energy.
Our team here at Eco Installer carried out the removal of their existing gas boiler system and pipework and fitted their new system over two days. The new Sunamp provides a space-saving, highly efficient hot water storage solution compared to a traditional hot water cylinder. Josey and Andy were delighted to say goodbye to their old gas boiler and are now enjoying the many benefits of having a Sunamp Installed. And we are thrilled to have helped another household progress on their fossil-fuel-free (what a tongue twister!) journey.
