Installation
Panasonic Air to Air Heat Pump
(For heating and air conditioning)
Location
Little Downham Village Hall, Cambridgeshire
Date:
July 2017
Project details:
Little Downham Village Hall, a multi-functional facility at the heart of Donwham Parish is regularly used for private and communal events throughout the year, including parties, exercise classes and baby groups. After experiencing a hot start to the summer (with temperatures in the hall getting up to an uncomfortable 410C during parties), Parish Councillor Graham gave us a call to see if we could quote to install an air conditioning system.
Roly arranged a meeting with Graham at the village hall to ensure an air conditioning unit would be possible. It was agreed that the indoor unit would be installed neatly in the bar area and the external unit would be installed out the way on the roof. Roly recommended a Panasonic Ethrea which provides both heating and cooling, an all year-round solution, (please click here for more information).
With the funding arranged and a design in place, our REFCOM engineer William began the installation. The fitting of both units was done in just a day (the main wall was a foot wide which took a lot of drilling). Graham put the air conditioning system to work straight away as the hall was used the following evening for a private event.
Following the installation Graham gave us a call to say how pleased he is with the system. The bar staff are surprised at how quiet the unit is when turned on are amazed at how quick the system cools the bar area down. Graham is now busy fund raising so he can install another air conditioning unit in the main hall.
