Daniel first contacted us in the summer of 2020 to enquire about having his old electric central heating system replaced with the more eco-friendly option of an Air Source Heat Pump. Having heard about the benefits of switching to a significantly more cost-effective system, he was to keen to explore how an Air Source Heat Pump could work in his own property. After an appointment with one of our team, Daniel had all the information he needed to make an informed decision on what was best for his home, and we finally commenced the installation of his new system in April 2021.
We were able to advise Daniel on the systems available to him, as well as guiding him through the funding options offered by the Government, in order to encourage UK households to switch to greener energy supplies. Daniel was able to successfully apply for a Green Home Grant, resulting in him receiving a total of £5000 towards the cost of his new heating system.
The install was carried out over the space of a week, during which time Daniel was able to go to work and allow the team to continue with the work they were doing in his absence, meaning there was little disruption to his day to day as the installation took place. This resulted in a swift removal of the old system, followed by the new Mitsubishi New Generation 8.5kW Air Source Heat Pump being quickly and efficiently installed and fully tested, along with the accompanying cylinder.
Daniel was delighted with the end result, highlighting that he found the team at Eco Installer to be knowledgeable and always on hand for any questions he had or issues that needed resolving. He now looks forward to reduced energy bills and reducing his impact on the environment, through the use of his new system. And, whilst he might not have thought he’d be needing to use it until the winter months, we think he would’ve been pleased to have it in place for this year’s colder (and wetter!) than usual May.
