JK’s in-ground Underfloor Heating System
Location:
Soham, Cambridgeshire
Mr W contacted us many moons ago – back in 2019, to be exact – with a request for underfloor heating. This was part of a significant house renovation that was being completed in different stages. He was upgrading other areas of his house (kitchens/bathrooms, etc.) and working his way through a significant list, ticking jobs off as he went along. Being asked to support projects of this size is always a massive privilege, so we didn’t hesitate to take it on…in fact, we were delighted.
When our client first approached us, Shane visited the property in Soham and confirmed that a JK Floorheating installation would be most suitable as no ‘build up’ would be required due to the way the system is installed and works. Our team only install premium underfloor heating systems designed by experts specifically for the project. Yes, we are bragging, but it’s true! We work closely with our chosen manufacturers to provide bespoke design-led solutions using state-of-the-art software to create systems based on full heat loss calculations. The result is a system that not only works but exceeds expectations…every single time.
Fast forward to 2024, and each stage of the underfloor heating has now been completed; working alongside Mr W to help carry out this renovation has been both satisfying and rewarding for the whole team. This is a project we will remember for a very long time.
How Does a JK Floorheating System Work? [information taken from their website]
JK’s in-ground UFH ™ is a revolution air underfloor heating system with no build-up height. The top screed is grooved using a specially designed and patented ‘JK floor grinder’. This grinder dustlessly creates grooves in the screed into which the heating pipes are laid. More and more people opt for underfloor heating systems because the benefits are apparent: they provide the most comfortable and uniform level of warmth. Also, underfloor heating systems (UFH) are categorized as Low Temperature Heating (LTH). This means that they can easily be combined with other heating systems already in place because of the low water flow temperature. As a result, energy usage is lower and therefore the energy bill, as well! It is a win-win for the homeowner.
Over the past four years, we worked closely with Mr W and JK Floorheating to install the underfloor heating system throughout the property as requested. We have now completed the JK Floorheating installation, and Mr W is delighted with his brand new and efficient underfloor heating system. We are sad that the project has now reached an end, but we will continue to follow each stage of the renovation to see how it progresses. Once we build a relationship with a client, it doesn’t always end once we down tools.
