Mr and Mrs M made the decision to move to renewable energy and contacted Eco Installer to talk them through the options available to them when considering their new system. Our team attended the property to carry out a survey, presented the customers with potential solutions and then provide a quote.
Based on the current system used in the home, Eco Installer were able to recommend installing “in-roof” solar panels in order to draw energy from natural sunlight and use this to power the home’s electricity supply. This was able to be linked to the customers’ current system with minimal disruption during installation.
This modern solution was installed onto an existing roof with tiles already in place, so we removed the appropriate roof tiles to make way for the solar panels. This allowed us to embed the panels into the roof, giving a smoother, flatter finish, rather than placing the panels on top of the tiles which would have made the end result far less sleek and more noticeable, something that Mr and Mrs M were particularly pleased with.
We were also able to offer guidance on the Government Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) which will allow Mr and Mrs M to claim money off their bills in exchange for the energy that they give back to the electricity grid from their new solar panels. Great for contributing to a greener planet – and great for the long-term cost savings, too!
