Mitsubishi contacted us directly to see if we could step outside of our normal service area and install a heat pump for one of their clients in Kent, who was struggling to find an experienced heating engineer. After looking at the project in more detail, we were more than happy to help.
Georgina Burnett – a local TV presenter and star of the YouTube channel ‘The Home Genie’ – knew that renewable heating was the way forward when designing her brand-new home. She appreciated what a fantastic alternative an air source heat pump is when compared to traditional and outdated central heating options, such as gas and oil.
Our heat-loss calculations concluded that a 4kW Mitsubishi heat pump with a 300ltr pre-plumbed cylinder would comfortably provide all of the heating and hot water for Georgina’s charming new home.
Our skilled heating engineers installed the air source heat pump, fitted out the plant room and laid the underfloor heating over a couple of days. The installation was smooth and quick, which worked extremely well with Georgina’s busy lifestyle. Georgina decided to have underfloor heating fitted throughout, and when the family now walk around their cosy home, the warmth on their feet is heavenly on a chilly day.
Once Georgina and her family had settled in, they were able to take advantage of the Government’s grant scheme, the Renewable Heating Incentive, while also enjoying lower energy bills.
