“A penny saved is a penny earned,” goes the old saying. By fitting a Weather Compensation system you can reduce your heating costs by as much as 40%.
Weather compensation automatically adapts’ your heating settings to suit the current weather conditions. The weather compensator monitors the outside temperature via a sensor which is fitted on the north side of the building. When required, the controller adjusts the heat supply according to the temperature change. This system is the most effective heating system and prevents overheating wasted energy through overheating.
When installing a new heating system we recommend fitting the best temperature control system. Weather compensation can be used with traditional heating systems such as oil or gas and comes as standard with renewable heating systems such as Biomass and or an Air Source Heat Pumps.
With the latest heating controls you can change your heating and hot water settings on the move using your phone or tablet – maximising your energy efficiency and in much less time.
We use the latest technology from companies such as Honeywell, Danfoss and Radiant Controls who provide advanced energy saving methods that can be used by most heating systems in the UK.
We recently fitted an OkoFEN Biomass Boiler with Weather Compensation and an under-floor system in Witchford, Ely. Without weather compensation, an under-floor heating system can maintain heat in the screed which will cause-over heating as the outside temperature improves. Weather Compensation is the ideal solution to prevent this providing a comfortable climate at all times.
