There’s something about the twinkle of lights on the Christmas tree, and the smell of cinnamon, apples and pine in the air that makes you reflect on the year you’ve had, and what might be in store for you next year. That’s just what we’ve been doing at Eco Installer! Warmed by our heat pumps, our very own Becki has been making the most impressive list of all of our achievements this year, and guys, it’s LONG.
This year has seen us grow in more ways than one!
2019 started with the launch of ‘Service My Heat Pump’ the dedicated servicing side of our business. Becki and Roly worked hard to set Service My Heat Pump up on social media and online. This is the side of the business that comes out to conduct the annual service of your Eco Installations! We’re also in the middle of revamping our Eco Installer website, which will launch early next year. Keep your eyes peeled!
We’ve grown our staff, taking on 2 new heating and plumbing apprentices, Jude and Matthew, a writer, yours truly, and our first office apprentice, Beth, to take some of the administrative pressure off of our amazing office staff.
That’s not the only apprentice news we have either- this year, one of our previous engineer apprentices became fully qualified! Congratulations to Cameron for this great achievement!
The team has grown with another new addition too! Shane and his wife-to-be welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world this year. Please join me in an enthusiastic “Awwwwww”! We love babies!
To add an extra dash of cute into the mix, Shane’s baby is not the only one we’ve been cooing over! In the spring, whilst on the way to an annual service, Roly rescued a little piglet, Wilbur, from the middle of the road! Wilbur was an honorary team member on that day, before going to his current home at South Angle Farm, where he lives happily, rolling over for cheerios (wouldn’t we all), and thinking back to that one time he was an Eco Installer! #goals
Success isn’t always measured in growth though…one of our Directors, William, left us to start up his own plumbing and heating company, working on boilers and stoves- we’re thrilled to see that he’s keeping busy with his new endeavours, and are really proud and thankful for the time he spent as part of our team.
This year, we’ve met some awesome people, including ITV regular, The Home Genie, Georgina Burnett. Jack and Cam were able to carry out her Mitsubishi EcoDan heat pump installation. Sussex is a bit outside our usual working area, but we were requested so, *shrug*, what can you do, eh? News about our customer service clearly travels far and wide! To add to that, we’ve also been raking in other great feedback from customers, including how handsome our engineers are! Ooh err!
Feedback isn’t the only show of support that has boosted us this year, but we reached 500 Facebook likes this year and look set to end the year at nearly 600! We also have 700 Twitter followers and over 200 Instagram followers! This means the world to us; to connect with people who appreciate what we do and who want to make the world a greener place too. THANK YOU!
Another milestone we’ve reached is 300 renewable installations! That means that 300 of you have taken a big step in changing your lives and impacting the environment! We’re proud of you, and are proud that we have been part of that journey with you!
As well as meeting lots of amazing customers, we have also had the pleasure of working at some fantastic properties. It’s fascinating to see architect’s plans being brought to life. We visit as many houses as possible following our installations and it’s always such a pleasure to see how delighted our customers are with the installations we have carried out and how proud they are for choosing an environmentally friendly system.
This year, we made a big change and dropped our installations of traditional oil and gas boilers to enable us to channel our passion for the future and the environment by focusing on renewables. We’re already anticipating an even busier year for 2020 as the Renewable Heat Incentive (the Government Incentive for having a heat pump installed) is set to end on 31st March 2021. So if you’ve been watching and waiting, wondering whether to take that leap, now is the time!
Eco Installer got a bit more locally famous this year too, with a couple of articles in the Fen Scene magazine! Make sure to grab a copy of their monthly magazine over the next 6 months to see what we get up to. You can see a bit more about that on our Facebook page, if you’re interested!
We’re rounding the year off by finalising our amazing tree planting initiative, in conjunction with the wonderful Woodland Trust! Things don’t get greener than a renewable installation company planting trees for their customers, past and present, to offset their carbon emissions, AND sponsoring local tree planting projects, does it? I mean, I know there’s Kermit but…we’re pretty green.
This year has been busy- full of exciting changes, heavy workloads, busy engineers, lots of tree research, lots of great feedback, and lots of laughter.
So, now 2019 is coming to an end, we are super excited for the year ahead. We already have a busy diary for the first few months of the year and have lots of exciting projects in the pipeline. Our office and engineer team looks to continue to grow. There will be a launch of the new showroom… And there will also be a wedding!
We’re proud to be your local Eco Installers, and we wish each and everyone of you a very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year!
